Reverend Robert Merle Barron

Reverend Robert Merle Barron, age 81, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Monday, January 12, 2026.
He was born November 18, 1944 to James Barter (J.B.) Barron and Clarice Bowman Barron. He has been married to Cathy Deal Barron for almost 62 years. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Lockheed Martin for 31 years. He has been an ordained minister since 2002. He served as pastor at New Hope Baptist Church for 22 years and Fellowship Baptist Church in Haralson County for approximately 14 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, J.B. and Clarice Bowman Barron; Brother, Teddy Barron; Sister, Juanita Roberts.
He is survived by: Wife, Cathy Deal Barron; Son, Todd Barron; Daughter, Tracy Barron Corley (Joey); Christy Barron; Seven Grandchildren, Nathan Barron (Lauren), Levi Barron, Jacob Barron, Jody Dupree (Sophie), Jonah Dupree (Madison), Adam Corley, Kaley Corley; Six Great Grandchildren, Andrew Barron, Marshal Barron, Alexandra Barron, Autumn Barron, Arya Barron, Weston Dupree; Brother, Ben Barron (Kathy); Sisters, Nancy Maxwell (Tommy), Beverly Ponder (Leonard); Sister in Law, Linda Barron and Helen Mansel; Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, 3:00 P.M. at Narroway Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts will officiate.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
