Floyd Benson Obituary
Mr. Benson was born June 13, 1933 in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. William Edward Benson and Mrs. Emma Wills Benson. He worked in the Logging Business for many years. Floyd was an avid Deer Hunter. He had a state record for largest deer in the State of Georgia. He was of Baptist Faith and a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: Granddaughter, Tina Rutledge and Shea Keown; Sisters, Eva McMichen, Mae Wills, Bess Jones and Ann Hamm; Brothers, Dewey Benson, Carl Benson, Marvin Benson and Leon Benson.
Mr. Benson is survived by; Daughter, Gail Benson Stegall (Tony); Sons, Wayne Benson (Lisa) and Jeff Benson (Bridgett); Grandkids, Tara Hollis (Jeff), Angelia Wade (Grady), Kreed Benson (Cat), Rose Aguayo (Justin), Patricia Lanzo and Jeff Stegall (Lisa); Great grandkids, Jay Wood (Savannah), Cody Hollis, Shaylin Bodenmuller (Chandler), Ridge Wade, Cutler Wade, Leonara Aguayo, Lucille Aguayo, Olivia Wheeler, Morgan Duncan (Kevin), Kayla Hollis, Gage Crawford, Gatlin Keown and Grayson Keown; Great Great Grandkids, Decklan Hollis, Daxton Wood, Dutton Wood, Kohen Eubanks, Lane Bodenmuller and Deacon Bentley.
Funeral Services for Mr. Floyd Benson will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
