Robert "Bob" Lanier Bass from Wilson passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate.
Bob was a member of Peace Church where he served his Lord faithfully. He was the owner of Western Sizzlin for twenty-two years. Bob was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. Bob will be dearly missed.
Bob is survived by his wife, Susan Snow Bass; daughters, Jennifer Bass Moreira, and Allison Bass Crandall; sons-in-law, Ronald Allen Moreira, and James William Crandall; grandchildren, Ethan Meredith Capps, Robert Andrew Lee, Jackson Tucker Lee, and Austin James Crandall, and lovingly "adopted daughter", Erica Clary Lamm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in Bob's memory to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, North Carolina 28607.

I love Robert and have since I met him in 1964. It was an honor to be his sister-in-law from 1966 through many years (22). He is and was very special. There is no doubt that he is in heaven. I wish peace for his family and am sending many prayers along with love.
