Robert Michael Bauer

Robert "Bob"  Bauer, age 75 of Cottage Grove passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2024.

Memorial Service will be 4 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Kok Funeral Home - 7676 80th St. S.; Cottage Grove, MN with a one hour visitation from 3-4 PM prior to service. Appetizers to follow the service.

Bob was born February 2, 1949 to Walter and Aurelia Bauer. He was raised in South St. Paul where he was involved in athletics and graduated from South St. Paul High School. Bob met the love of his life, Gail, while attending Stout and they later married on September 27, 1969.  After serving in the Air Force, Bob and Gail raised their three children in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.  He was involved in countless sports and activities with Jill, Jenny and Ben, not only was he their coach and mentor but also their biggest fan in life. 

Bob was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to fish and hunt.  He enjoyed making memories in Cannon Falls, on fishing trips and at the cabin. Bob was a dedicated son and brother, loving husband, devoted dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and many more but to most he was just known as Papa.  We will miss you! 

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Aurelia Bauer; brothers Wayne and Kenny Bauer.  Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gail; children Jill (Gregg) Miller, Jen (Mike) Burke, and Ben (Brooke) Bauer; grandchildren Ally (Alec), Meghan (Nick), Ryan, Michael, Will, Grace, Jack, Charlie, Bodhi and Bricelyn; one great-grandchild Cooper; sister, Darlene (Al) Schroeder and his "grand dogs".
