Robert Perry Bedingfield, 55, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on October 6, 2025. He was born on November 19, 1969, the son of William Robert Bedingfield and Elaine Belcher Bedingfield.
Robert was a dedicated pressman for Atlanta Offset, contributing to the company for an impressive 22 years. His commitment to his work showcased his strong work ethic and reliability.
Beyond his professional life, Robert had a multifaceted personality that endeared him to many. He was known for his skills as a part-time HVAC technician with Robert Donohue HVAC. An outdoor enthusiast, he found joy in activities like hunting and fishing, relishing the serenity of nature. Mechanics was another passion of his, as he enjoyed tinkering and working with his hands. Friends and family recall his love for projects, always with something going on at home or in the yard.
A quiet yet quick-witted individual, Robert possessed a unique sense of humor that made him a beloved jokester among those who knew him. As a toddler, he affectionately came to be known as "Rabbit," a nickname that followed him throughout his life.
Robert was also proud of his family. He cherished his children and granddaughter, finding immense joy in their accomplishments and milestones. He carried a remarkable sense of pride, especially recalling his own days as a high school wrestler, having been a member of the Lithia Springs Class of 1987.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jewel and Perry Belcher and paternal grandparents William and Sallie Mae Bedingfield.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Bedingfield; son, Lee Bedingfield; sister, Ginger (Eric) Watkins; brother, Paul Bedingfield; granddaughter, Alexis; two nieces, Payton and Mackenzie; and one nephew, Hunter.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. The Memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM and will be officiated by Rev. Terry Rainwater.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated.
Flowers are accepted; however, donations may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital or your favorite children's charity.
Robert's legacy will continue through the cherished memories he created with his loved ones, who will forever hold dear the warmth of his spirit and the laughter he inspired. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
