Robert Benetti Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 9, 2025.
Robert A. Benetti, 85, of Harrison Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025. He was born on September 5, 1939, and was preceded in death by his parents, Santo and Eleanor Benetti, and his sister, Joanne Hackett.
Robert cherished his childhood family home along the Clinton River, where the welcoming atmosphere and waterfront setting created countless memories. True to his Italian heritage, family was at the heart of everything. He often spoke lovingly of his late wife, Suzanne (Soenen) Benetti, who passed away in 2000. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised four daughters: Angela Benetti, Carolyn Milosek, Deann Benetti, and Tina Boback. He was also a beloved grandfather to many grandchildren.
The family's 10-acre property at 25 Mile and Jewell in Shelby Township was their "little slice of heaven," where Robert and Suzanne created unforgettable memories for extended family and friends. The property was famous for its legendary parties that would continue well into the early morning hours.
Robert was a natural storyteller who loved sharing tales of his adventures. Among his favorite stories were those featuring his best friend, cousin, and "wing man" Bernie, whom he sadly lost just months ago.
An active man with many passions, Robert enjoyed golf, card games, hunting, scuba diving and tinkering, each pursuit providing him with more stories to share. While he appreciated dressing well, his family best remembers him in his signature look: cut-off Levi's, a jean shirt, and duct-taped Tretorn tennis shoes.
"Keep your socks up," Dad. You will be deeply missed. Vai Con Dio.
