Robert Bercot

Robert C. Bercot, 92, of Piqua, passed away early Friday morning, July 19, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice Inpatient Unit, Troy. He was born December 7, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to the late Ralph Albert and Hattie May (Voltz) Bercot. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lorene Ann (Newton) Bercot.

He will be missed and remembered by his wife of 14 years, Marcella Ann (Byerly) Bercot; his children, Vicki (Mike) Pryfogle of Fletcher, Mark (Kathy) Bercot of Piqua, Rhonda (Art) Buckowitz of Barnhart, Mo., Tresa Bercot of Gettysburg; daughters-in-law Teresa Bercot of Tawawa and Marty Bercot of Fletcher; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Thomas Bercot of Troy. Robert was preceded in death by sons Dwayne Bercot and Richard Bercot; and brothers Albert, Kenneth and Paul Bercot.

Robert retired from Brown Bridge/Kimberly Clark of Troy and was a longtime pastor and evangelist with the Assembly of God church. He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, and his dog, Ladybelle.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 22 at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
