Bob was born on May 9, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa to William C. and Marian S. (Schump) Bergmann.
He married Sheryl Grace on August 24, 1969 in West Branch, Iowa.
Bob enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and served his country from 1968-1970.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sheryl and their children: Robert W. Bergmann Jr. (Aimee) of Kansas, Christopher E. Bergmann of Iowa and Kathryn M. Stoolman (Jeff) of Texas; grandchildren: Abigail N. Bergmann of Kansas, Maddox A. Stoolman of Texas and Adrion R. Seals of Kansas; siblings: Mary Allison of Wisconsin, Richard (Retha) Bergmann of Florida, Kathryn Kurth of Iowa and Roberta Bergmann of Iowa; brother-in-law, Larry Grace (Kathy) and sister-in-laws: Diane Phillips (Ken) and Carolyn Emerson (Rick) all of Iowa. Bob is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Bob's request, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
