Robert "Bob" Bertram born on February 13, 1946 died peacefully on August 28, 2024 at the age of 78 years. Bob was born in Rochester, NY and the only child of Joseph and Anne Bertram. Bob is survived by his wife of more than 57 years, Bonny (Buck) Bertram, their two children Aaron ( Melissa) Bertram and Brooke( Brad) Laundry; his two grandsons Mason Laundry and Bryce Bertram; as well as his brothers' and sister in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was a loving husband, father, brother-in-law and uncle. Bob valued many things in his life but his love for Bonny was evident and their desire to have fun together. During their 57-year marriage, they shared numerous vacations in the place that they did love most, Mexico, often recreating special meals and introducing family to dances and traditions they learned along the way. He had a passion for cooking and creating wonderful meals for family and friends. Bob was most proud of his children and the families they created, they were his most loved treasures.
Sundays were spent watching his Buffalo Bills always hoping for a super bowl win. He was the handiest of handymen, adding his personal touch to all that he created. His work is on display for all to admire. We will remember Bob for his joy of life and was always the life of the party, sharing his love for music was evident and could tell you who sang any song or could give you a musical lyric. Jimmy Buffett was a favorite of his and poolside summer nights were spent singing his greatest hits. including some of his favorite lyrics:
"My occupational hazard is my occupation's just not around"
"Some of its magic, some of its tragic, but I've had a good life along the way."
A Memorial Service will be held on October 5, 2024 at 1:00PM at in the Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South Rochester NY 14623. A celebration of life will be held immediately following, location to be announced.
