Robert William "Bob" Blaikie, 67, of Inlet Beach, Florida, passed away on June 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born on May 20, 1958, in Frankfurt, Germany, and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He later moved to Sarasota, where he spent the majority of his life. Bob attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, and went on to work in the family business before transitioning into life insurance, bringing care, integrity, and personal connection to all with whom he worked.
Bob was a man deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Blaikie; and his daughter, Kelly Lindell, along with her husband, Brett Lindell. He was a proud and joyful grandfather to Robbie Blaikie, Beau Lindell, Kitt Lindell, Jack Lindell, and Priscilla Lindell.
He is also survived by his brother, Dennis Blaikie, and sister, Mary McHugh. He was preceded in death by his beloved sons, Bobby Blaikie and Danny Blaikie; his granddaughter, Isla Lindell, as well as his brothers, Tim Blaikie and Mike Blaikie.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Saint Rita Catholic Parish in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. A reception will follow at Camp Creek Inn in Inlet Beach from 1:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Donations or floral arrangements may be sent to Saint Rita Catholic Church in honor of Bob's memory.
