Robert Blanton Obituary
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023 in Mount Olivet Chapel with Pastor Travis Welch officiating. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Reception to follow at Decatur Baptist Church. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Mount Olivet's Breyley Room.
Pallbearers: William Blanton, Nicholas Blanton, David Gomez, Josh Campbell, Jordan Warder and Juan Cerda.
Robert was born November 20, 1943 in Fort Worth to Henry and Margaret Stallons Blanton. He graduated Diamond Hill High School, class of 1962. Following graduation, he served with the US Airforce from 1962 to 1966. Robert married Barbara Yarborough in 1965, and settled in Fort Worth. They celebrated 58 years of marriage in March. He was a loving family man that was there for his grandchildren everyday.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret Blanton; and his older brother, Don Blanton.
Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Barbara Blanton; sons, Scott Blanton and wife, Elizabeth of Weatherford, Marc Blanton and wife, Nicole of Weatherford; grandchildren, Julia Blanton of Arlington, Cortney and Richard Justice of Kentucky, William and Aubrey Blanton of Weatherford, Nicholas and Tabitha Blanton of Weatherford, April Blanton of Fort Worth, Laci Blanton of Fort Worth, Morgan Blanton of Fort Worth, Cassandra Blanton of Weatherford, Miranda Blanton of Fort Worth and Marlee Jo Blanton of Weatherford; and great-grandsons, Myles Blanton, Mason Blanton, Keagan Blanton and Levi Taylor; and brothers, Gary Blanton and Wesley Blanton.

Bob was my first cousin. We spent happy times together on Sunday afternoons at our grandparents home in Poly. My favorite get-togethers were our 4th of July picnics, complete with lots of fun fireworks. I regret losing contact with you all. You are in my prayers.
