In Loving Memory of Robert Waino Blomquist

October 23, 1927 - December 11, 2025

It is with deep love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Bob W. Blomquist, a devoted father, cherished husband, and steadfast friend. Born in Siren, Wisconsin, to Waino and Nettie Blomquist, Bob lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to his family.

He found his greatest joy in being a father, guiding his children with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. Whether cheering successes, offering words of encouragement, or sharing life lessons, his presence was a constant source of strength and comfort.

Bob was a man of simple pleasures and deep values. He loved telling stories of fishing and hunting with his son, Bob, and he approached each day with gratitude and purpose. His generosity extended beyond his family, touching the lives of friends, neighbors, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He graduated from high school in Aitkin, Minnesota, and proudly served in the United States Air Corps from 1945 to 1947 as a Corporal stationed in Guam during World War II. In 1949, he married Ann H. Bentz in Marble, Minnesota. They later moved to Portland, Oregon where he was employed by the Carnation Milk Company until he retired, after which he relocated to Central Oregon.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Nichols Blomquist.

Bob built a life rooted in love with Ann H. Blomquist, with whom he raised three children: Marty A. Main (husband Michael), Robert M. Blomquist (wife Judi), and Leona Marie Pedigo. He later became a proud grandfather to Brian Main, Jennifer Tana, Carrie Blomquist, David Blomquist, Mandy Morgan, Tyler Pedigo, and Justin Pedigo, and was blessed with eight great-grandchildren; all of whom will carry forward his legacy of love, honor, and compassion.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that he is celebrating in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We look forward to reuniting with Bob in heaven, along with his son, Robert Mathew Blomquist; his wife, Ann H. Blomquist; his second wife, Marguerite D. Caron-Blomquist; his sister Pauline Doust, and his brothers Gene Blomquist, John Blomquist, and Douglas Blomquist.

His legacy lives on in the values he instilled: love, honor, laughter, and the belief that family is life's greatest treasure.

A celebration of Bob's life is being held on December 20th at 11:00 am in the Deschutes Memorial Gardens in Bend, Oregon.
