Robert Earl Boatright, 67, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on December 16th, 2025 surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Born on September 10, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He had a zest for life, was Mr. Personality, always telling stories that would make everyone smile.
Bobby was a man of many talents and passions. He spent 30 years in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He joined the National Guard shortly after high school in 1976 and served till 2006. He served his country with great pride and compassion. He won multiple awards and medals throughout his career and truly excelled during his Recruiting position. He won the Chief's 50 award two consecutive years. While serving full time in the Army National Guard he also earned his Bachelor of Science at Southern Nazarene University.
Bobby was adventurous by nature and loved the great outdoors. He received his first motorcycle at the age of 14, and his passion for riding continued throughout adulthood as he traveled annually to Sturgis with his friends and family. He also loved taking his family on outdoor excursions and teaching his daughters and grandkids to fish, camp and paddle a canoe.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy; loving wife and mother of his children, Denise; parents, Neal Boatright and Barbara Steelman; and in-laws Neil and Joneil Polaschek and brother-in-law, Jimmy Polaschek. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and his step children: Josh Polaschek (Samantha), Nick Richardson, Mollie (Nathan) Grogan; and grandchildren, Emma and Oliver. Bobby is also survived by his stepmother, Sandra Boatright; daughters Krystal (Sam) Nichols, Chelese Boatright and Megan Boatright (Trevor) Byrkit; sister LaNeal (Tim) Campbell; nephew Scotty Steelman; niece Brandi, and her children, Joey and Fiona.
A memorial service to celebrate Bobby's life will be held at Ford Chapel, Barnes Friederich and Pope Funeral Home on Sooner Road at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 27, 2025.
