Robert G. 'Bob' Borgia

Robert G. "Bob" Borgia, 86, of Palmerton, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, at the Above and Beyond Nursing Home, Allentown.

Born on July 19, 1939, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel Borgia and the late Iona (Jones) Borgia.

Robert was the husband of Jeanne (Shiffler) Borgia, with whom he shared 57 loving years of marriage.

Bob was employed by the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 19, specializing in roofing and copper. He retired in 1999 after working for 30 years, but stayed active in the union, always helping where he could.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Palmerton, and the Palmerton Historical Society, being known for painting/restoring the park gazebo and the Little White Church. In his free time, Bob enjoyed hunting and roller skating, and was an avid poker player.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters, Jeanne A., Maureen J. and Audrey, and husband Peter; a brother, John Borgia, and wife, Sandy; granddaughters, Sarah E. Billman, Brittney J. and Danielle P. Scott; and a brother-in-law, Charles Schneider.

He was also predeceased by brothers, Samuel and Thomas; sisters, Ramona and Patricia; and a son-in-law, Robert Scott.

Services: Memorial service noon Monday, March 9, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Palmerton. Interment will be private. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m.-noon Monday, March 9.
