Robert (Bob) Lee Bratton passed away December 8, 2025 at the home of his daughter, Debbie in Lamar, Missouri. He was 92 and had been under the care of Compassus for over two months.
Robert was born February 5, 1933 to Philoah C. and Francis Bratton in Mulberry, Arkansas. He was the only living child left of three sisters and three brothers. After getting out of the Army he married Jean Willmon on March 21, 1955. They spent 63 years together before her passing in 2019.
Robert worked in furniture manufacturing as a supervisor in Arkansas and moved to Lamar, Missouri in 1978 and was a supervisor at O’Sullivan’s. He retired after 20 years. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and always raised a big garden, anything outside.
Robert is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Tim) Ivey of Lamar, Missouri, Brenda Schmitt of Golden City, Missouri, and Glenda Braun (David) of Shell Knob, Missouri, three granddaughters, LaDonna, Christy, and Laura, a sister-in-law, Darlene Bratton, a brother-in-law, James Willmon, a sister-in-law, Sandy Willmon, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean, siblings, grandson, Larry Blaylock, great-grandson, Isiah Hartzler, and son-in-law, William Schmitt.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with interment to follow at New Cemetery in Mulberry, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Tim Ivey, Roger Vansel, Timothy Vansel, David Braun, Mark Young, and Austin Hartzler.
