Robert C. Brown, 80, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at Community Hospital in Anderson, reuniting with his beloved wife, Donna. Born to Charles Robert Brown and Emma Lavon (Stinson) Brown. Bob was a proud graduate of Markleville High School, class of 1962. He then tied the knot with Donna Nadine Brown at Huntsville Christian Church on April 7, 1964. Donna was truly the love of his life.
For many years, Bob dedicated himself to working for Vectren/CenterPoint Energy Company as a welder, where he made lasting friendships and memories. After retirement, he mastered his love of fishing. He loved his family more than anything and was proud that he built something with them that he never had. Bob was always kind and very sociable to everyone. He wasn’t materialistic, yet always willing to give to others. He was quite the handyman and could fix anything and everything.
Robert is survived by his four daughters, Deborah (Tim) Dunham of Chesterfield, Cynthia (Matthew) Kramer of Bristol, Indiana, Robin (Steve) Chambers of Neenah, Wisconsin, Pamela (Ronald) Taylor of Pendleton; one son, Robert (Stacy) Brown, Jr., of Anderson; 14 grandchildren, Shelley (Gabe Bailey) Dunham, Sarah (Kevin) Young, Ronald (Katherine) Preston, Kelsey (Samuel) Gipson, Christopher (Amanda) Chambers, Abigail Chambers, Nicholas Chambers, Zachary (Katyn Piguet) Smith, Jordan Smith, Brandon (Shelbie) Taylor, Kylie (Joey) Iodice, Caleb (Emily) Brown, David (Gabrielle) Keller, and Brandon (Kaylee) Kramer; great-grandchildren, Alli, Jackson, Connor, Josephine, Hudson, Carsen, Colbie, Allee, Cooper, Alistair, Astrid, Alexander, Rosemary, Natalie, Veronica, Rosemary, Peter, Zoey, Claire, and Carson. He is also survived by a niece, Mary Jane McCall; special friends, Ron Dick and Ron and Jane Nichols and their Life Group; along with his special pet, Callie, whom he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; and granddaughter, Emily Ranae Chambers.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm and on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from Noon - 2:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
A funeral service will follow visitation on Saturday, at the funeral home starting at 2:00pm with Pastor Todd Faulkner with Northview Church officiating. Cremation will follow services.
The family would like to give a special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Reddy, Dr. Fisher, Navigator-Susan Bozell, and the entire staff at Community MD Anderson Medical Oncology for their sincere and compassionate care to Bob.
