Robert Joseph “Bob” Collopy, of Edinboro, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 29, 1956, to John Collopy and Carole Naleppa Collopy (DiCarlo). He was 68 years old.
Bob graduated from General McLane High School and attended Edinboro University. He worked at various jobs in the oil and gas industry and later worked in pool construction.
From the time he was a child, Bob enjoyed outdoor activities - water skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, and boating. He eventually built his home in the woods where he lived contently and savored the quiet life amidst the trees and all of nature. Throughout his life, his dogs, Babe, Copper, and Rodger were his most faithful companions.
Bob was a collector of unique and common items. He appreciated and valued classic cars, tractors, machinery and anything that he could put to use, especially if he could use it outdoors.
Preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Dan DiCarlo, and brother-in-law, Jeff Hendrich, Bob is survived by a sister, Sharon Hendrich, a brother, Jim (Cheryl) Collopy, niece Allison Hendrich, nephews Jason (Jenni) Hendrich, Brian Collopy, and Jack (Jackie) Collopy.
