JoAnn Chase, age 72, of Harborcreek, was welcomed into her Heavenly Lord and Savior's arms on Monday, March 9, 2026 after a long battle with dementia. Born on January 2, 1954, JoAnn was a devoted follower of Christ and wife of 21 years to her husband, Robert.

JoAnn was born and raised in St. Marys, PA to Mario and Eva Curci. She attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Education from Gannon University. JoAnn worked at Erie Insurance for 28 years before retiring in 2004. She went on to substitute teach in several area schools. She was an accomplished musician, playing the harp, piano, flute and tuba. JoAnn was a devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene, serving in their missions program, teaching Sunday School, participating in the church choir and musical ensemble.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her brothers, Dan and Michael. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; stepchildren, Rob (Jenn) and Tim (Melissa) Chase and Michelle Feeney (Brendan); grandchildren, Danielle (Corey), Zach (Allison), Andrew, Kian, Ethan and Lydia; great-grandchildren, Lyla, Nolan, Harper, Carson and Callie Sue; sister, Sylvia Nunemaker (Donnie); and brother, John Curci, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Saturday, March 14th, from 3 to 6 pm. A private interment will be held at a future date in St. Marys, PA. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
