Robert K. (Bob) Eggers, age 78, of Mountain City, TN; passed away on March 8, 2025 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Bob was born April 30, 1946 in Johnson, County, TN; to the late Carl C. Eggers and Dora L. Reece Eggers. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife Genevia Eggers, brothers, Jimmy Eggers (infant), Claude Eggers and Lloyd Eggers.


Bob was a life time member of Johnson County Rescue Squad where he served for many years. He was an avid golfer. Bob loved working with his equipment especially his dump truck. He always enjoyed being able to help others. Bob also enjoyed being able to take out his 1939 Ford for a drive.


Those left to cherish his memories include his son, Michael Eggers (Brenda); daughter, Donna Kirby (Buddy); grandchildren, Morgan Eggers (Morgan) of Indianapolis, IN, Marly Eggers of Johnson City, TN, Carlyn Eggers (Faith) of Portsmouth, VA, Adam Manuel of Mountain City, TN; several nieces, nephews, companion; Janet Harper and special friends, Tommy Rhymer, Randy Arnold, Mike Jones, Clay Savery, Bud McCombas, and Jake Lewis.


The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum with grandson, Morgan Eggers officiating. Pallbearers will be Clay Savery, Tommy Rhymer, Adam Manuel, Gary Eggers, Dustin McGlamery, and Steve Rhymer. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Arnold, Mike Jones, and Wade Thomas.


At other times, friends and family may visit the home of his daughter, Donna Kirby, 1087 Pedro Shoun Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683.


The family would like to say thanks to Amedisys Hospice, Bristol Regional Medical Center and Johnston Memorial Hospital.
