Robert "Bob" K. Kirk of Pleasant Hill, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. Born on July 29, 1953 in Casstown, Ohio, Bob is survived by his children, Jennifer Zapadka (Michael), Chris Kirk (Angela), Heather Martinez (Oscar), Aaron Kirk (Jennifer), Casi Herstine (Kevin) and Andrew Kirk as well as sisters, Kerry Elifritz (Dick), and Cindy Gold (Rick). Bob loved his grandchildren Alex and Sam Zapadka, Jackie and Marshall Kirk, Aiden and Veronica Pillion, and Coen Herstine. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, David and Joan Kirk and brother, Christopher Alan Kirk.
Bob graduated from Miami East High School and participated in Football and Track. Bob spent the majority of his career in purchasing for various companies and ultimately retired from Production Turning as a General Manager of the company. Bob enjoyed coaching his kids' sports activities, Morel mushroom hunting, traveling, cooking, vegetable gardening, cruising on his boat, working on any type of "fix it" projects, listening to and sharing music, cooking and most recently tracing the Kirk family genealogy back to 1688 in Yorkshire, England. Bob gave extreme attention to detail in all of his works and was especially skilled at story-telling and winning at Scrabble. Bob found peace being in nature and spent a lot of time in his later years outside enjoying the countryside-bird watching, taking care of wildlife, his plants and yard.
