Robert "Bob" Lackmann

Robert “Bob” Lackmann was born August 1, 1955, in Moorhead, MN, to Emmanuel “Chuck” and Bette Lee (Peterson) Lackmann. Bob was raised in Moorhead where he graduated from high school.

Bob moved to Oregon shortly after graduation and worked in the construction business. He married Barbara Ellingson on April 26, 2011, while in Oregon. They returned in 2011, to make their home in Verndale, MN, where he worked for Lakes Community Coop. 

Bob was on the road for roughly 10 years for LAC/LCC as one of their milk truck drivers. Bob could strike up a conversation with anyone and he especially loved visiting with his farmers and patrons when picking up milk from local farms. 

In his spare time, you could find him riding his beloved Harley on nice days and getting out on the ice in the winter for some fishing. He also enjoyed car racing of all types. Bob will be greatly missed by everyone.

Bob died Monday, June 24, 2024, in Lakewood Health, Staples, MN, at sixty-eight years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother, Jay (Marie) Lackmann; and his canine companions, Sissy and Gracie. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jimmy.

Visitation for Bob will begin at 10 AM, with a Life Celebration Service at 11 AM, Monday, July 1, 2024, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
