Robert “Bob” Lee Pearson, 74, of York, Nebraska, passed away on September 11, 2025, in David City. Memorial Services will be held on September 27th, 2025 at 11:00 am at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Grand Island.
He was born June 8, 1951, in Milan, Tennessee, to Nancy Pearson and Robert Lee Green. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois, where he built lifelong memories and friendships. In February 1976, Bob married Linda McCormack, and together they raised a large family. The family moved to Norfolk, NE in 1989. Bob drove trucks all over the U.S. for 20 years. His work allowed him to travel widely, and he got to meet new people along the way. Bob enjoyed filling every room with stories, laughter, a big smile, and love of music, especially Motown. Bob’s faith was with Jehovah’s Witnesses, and he found strength and comfort in his beliefs throughout his life. Bob will be remembered for his big personality, his love of people, and the way he shared his stories with everyone around him. His family and friends will miss his humor. Bob was also a cherished grandfather to Walter Pearson Jr., Eric McCovery, Octavius Pearson, Erika Pearson, Jazmine Pearson, Kenny Pearson Jr., Kingston Pearson, Azalea Pearson, Camellia Pearson, Sienna Thompson, Orion Morganite, and Jaelin Godfrey. Bob enjoyed spending his last months on Earth with some of his grandsons. He was able to form deep connections, and it motivated him to “keep going”.
Bob is survived by children, Walter (Stephanie) Pearson, Kenny (Kaylyn) Pearson, Paula Pearson, Mary (Jeremiah) Morganite, and Jada (Chris) Godfrey, and numerous sisters and brothers.
He is preceded in death by parents Robert and Nancy, and sons, Robert and James.
The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation for the care Bob received from St. Joseph’s Villa, Tabitha Hospice (especially Sam and Tina), and most recently CCH Hospice. They also appreciate all the visitors he had from his fellow congregation members.
