Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Robert "Bobby" Phillips, who passed away July 27, 2025 at his residence. He was 77 years old.

Pastor David Matherne will conduct the funeral services. Interment will be in Gallant Fields, the exclusive veterans' section of Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Cherri Phillips of Scott; two daughters, Shemaine (Todd) Richardson of Gonzales and Shandi (Justin) Broussard of Castle Rock, CO; one son, Craig (Marcy) Phillips of Prairieville; one brother, Carrol (Sharon) Phillips of Baton Rouge; and nine grandchildren, Dylan Richardson, Grant Richardson, Ayden Phillips, Allie Phillips, Myah Broussard, Emma Broussard, Hannah Broussard, Ethan Broussard, and Aliyah Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Clarence Phillips; son, Darryl Phillips; and sister, Janet Phillips.

Bobby was a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Scott for the past 33 years. He was a member of the United States Navy, serving for two years in the Seabees. He was a plumber by trade, and retired from Lafayette Consolidated Government as a Code Inspector.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Richardson, Grant Richardson, Ayden Phillips, Jamie McCaleb, Todd McCaleb, and Hank Richards.

The family requests that visitation be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 between the hours of 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.
