Robert "Bobby" Eugene Taber, 60, of Lapel, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He is proceeded in death by his parents Leslie and Patricia Taber, and his brothers Butch, Michael and Kevin Taber.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He built his career as a machine programmer from the ground up through persistence and determination. He was known for his sharp, unexpected sense of humor that would always undoubtedly lead to deep belly laughter.
Above all else, Robert was proud of his family and loved his people deeply. When his children were young, he created lasting memories through time spent in the garden, eating fresh tomatoes with salt, RC car racing, camping trips, and countless rides on rollercoasters. Later in life, he enjoyed going to estate sales, riding his golf cart, and continuing to spend time with those he loved.
Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret "Margie" Taber and children Steven Taber, Brian (Brittany) Taber, Melissa (Cody) Parks, Jessica (Lauren) Beamer, Makayla (Drew) Rosenberg, many grandchildren including Damian, Steven, Axel, Jasper, Raymond, Landon, Akira, and sister Connie Taber. In-laws, Dave and Sharon Beamer and nephews, Devin (Katie) and Kaleb (Christa) Taber. His supportive employers, A M Machining. Also, his beloved pup, Sadie Jo.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family.
