Robert Bo Boedeker
Carlinville - Robert "Bo" W. Boedeker, 80, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Carlinville Hospital in Carlinville, IL.
He was born on April 19, 1945 in Alton, IL to William R. and Emma (Crawford) Boedeker. Bo married Karla Zyph on May 24, 1982, in Wood River, IL and she survives
Bo and Karla owned and operated Precision Lighting in Bethalto for 27 years. They traveled to many places in their younger years. Bo liked to fish and ride motorcycles. In his later years, he had a passion for gardening. Bo's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Carlinville Moose #1216.
In addition to his wife, Karla; Bo is survived by three step-children and their spouses, Nichole and William Moseley of Maryville, Derek and Kara Forsting Alton, Jenny and William Lake of Virden, IL; five grandchildren and their spouses, Andrea and Tim Mangan, Alex and Denise Jones, Hanna Forsting, Carson Forsting, and Mason Hunt; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Jones and Harlow Jones; and many other relatives and friends.
Bo is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Carlinville Moose #1216 on Friday, May 30, 2025 beginning at 1 p.m.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials are suggested to the Carlinville Moose #1216.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey will oversee arrangements.
