Karol Ann Boedeker, 88, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Valley View Health Campus is Fremont. Karol was born on December 17, 1936 to Glendon and Margaret (Laurendeau) Laird in Fremont, OH. Karol was a a1954 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She married Arnold “Arnie” Boedeker on October 23, 1954 in Fremont and he survives.
She was a member of Legacy Life Enrichment Center where her son Mark is a Pastor and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, crocheting, gardening, and played hours and hours of Solitaire and cards. Karol loved Christmas and decorating for holidays. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Karol is survived by her husband of seventy years, Arnold Boedeker, children, Kandi Stinson, Cincinnati, OH, Michael (Cordy) Boedeker, Kingston, OH, Mark (Barb) Boedeker, Attica, OH; siblings, Glendon Laird Sr., Fremont, OH, Kelly (Mark) Zimmerman, Fostoria, OH; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Melinda Brean; siblings, James Laird, Timothy Laird and Kay Ritzman; sons-in-law, Rick Stinson and Joel Brean; daughter-in-law, Cathy Labie; siblings-in-law, Diane “Annie” Laird, Ronald Ritzman and Allen Boedeker.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd. Fremont, OH 43420 with an hour of visitation prior to services from 10-11 a.m.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials can be made in her honor to Legacy Life Enrichment Center, Sacred Heart Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
