Kenneth Lee Boedeker, 90, of Belton, Texas was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 29, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1934 in Chriesman, Texas to Charlie Albert Boedeker and Rosalie Odstrcil Boedeker. At the age of 19, Kenneth moved to Temple in search of work. In 1954, Ken met his Barbie at Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple. They were married at this church on June 24, 1955. Just five days before Kenneth's passing, they marked the milestone of their 70th wedding anniversary.

Ken taught his family the value of a strong work ethic. His most notable positions were in sales and the service industry. His last job was with Temple ISD as a purchasing agent in the Food Service Department.

As a man of strong faith, Kenneth accepted Jesus as his personal Savior in 1953. He was a dedicated member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple and First Baptist Church of Academy.

Kenneth cherished his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, three grandchildren, Rhonda Daniel, Kathryn Swearingin, and Michael Swearingin, and son-in-law, Donald Harrison.

He leaves behind a loving family including his wife Barbara Brock Boedeker, three daughters, Debbie Boedeker Daniel Harrison of Little River, Pattie Boedeker McKenzie (Gene) of Austin, and Terri Boedeker Schiller (Darryl) of Belton. He also leaves behind his grandson Scott McKenzie of Austin, sister Charlene Mueller of Caldwell, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law James and Wanda Brock of Cedar Park.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Stoney Brook Senior Living and Enhabit Home Health and Hospice whose unwavering dedication, kindness, and support brought comfort and peace to Kenneth.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday July 3 from 1:30 - 2:30 pm at Hewett- Arney Funeral Home in Temple. Service will be held the same day at 3:00 pm at Pendleton Cemetery with Pastor Brent Boatwright officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of Kenneth will be graciously accepted by Priceless Beginnings/Jax Fund at pricelessbeginnings.org or 4001 Central Point Parkway Bldg 300, Temple, TX 76504.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with arrangements.
