Robert Loyd Bogard Sr.

Robert Loyd Bogard Sr., age 67, passed away peacefully at his home in Mayflower on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, papa, uncle, and friend, known for his vibrant spirit and unwavering generosity.
Robert was the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter to those around him. His caring nature and willingness to help others in need were unmatched; whether by offering a helping hand or a place to stay, he was there whenever someone required support. His love for his family and friends was evident in all he did.
When he wasn't working as a millwright, Robert enjoyed cooking for his loved ones and friends, creating memorable meals that brought everyone together. His warmth and hospitality left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Oran "Buddy" Johnson; step father Bill Crowder; his brother, Matha Bogard; his brother, Timothy Johnson; and his grandson Shane Aldridge. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Crowder; his wife, Cindy Bogard; his ex-wife, Barbara Bogard Crow; children Bridgett Hendrickson, Melinda (Jason) Otts, and Robert Bogard Jr.; stepchildren Brian (Andrea) Nanney, Jacob Nanney, and Ashley Clapp; siblings Mildred Ingram, Oran "Bugsy" Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Patricia Johnson, and Barbara Baker; 17 grandchildren; and a multitude of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Robert's absence will be deeply felt by all who loved him. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00am with funeral service starting at 11:00am at Jones Hill Pentecostal Church in Mayflower, Arkansas. Interment to follow at Mayflower Cemetery.
