Robert Van Buren Boh Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 11, 2025.
Robert "Rob" Van Buren Boh, a man who always had an ace up his sleeve and a sci-fi theory to share, has shuffled off this mortal coil at the ripe young age of 72. Born on August 4, 1953, in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Rob made his final journey on August 10, 2025, in Wesley Chapel, Florida. While he may have left us, he's surely finding new cosmic mysteries to explore in the great beyond.

Rob found his calling as a Software Engineer at A.C. Nielson Company in Dunedin, Florida, and later at Jabil Company in St. Petersburg. He was the kind of engineer who could not only code a software program but also play a mean hand of poker. His monthly poker games were legendary, where he would regale his buddies with tales of Ancient Aliens and sci-fi theories that would make Mulder and Scully envious.

A man of many talents, Rob tickled the ivories as a member of a band called the VIPs. Whether it was playing the piano or tinkering on his beloved computer, he always found harmony in his passions.

Preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Marcia Mills Boh, Rob leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his humor and kindness. He is survived by Carol, his devoted wife of 49 years, his son Jason Boh and wife Stephanie, his daughter Jessica Delahay and husband Terry, brothers Roger (Skip) Boh and Charlie Boh, sister Marcia (Alison) Boh, his miniature schnauzers Daisy Mae and Henry, and a bevy of nieces and nephews who will undoubtedly carry on his legacy of laughter and curiosity.

Rob's life was a testament to living with joy, wonder, and just a touch of mischief. While he may no longer be with us, his stories, jokes, and love will remain in our hearts-like a well-played hand that we'll never forget.
