Robert Bolinger Obituary
Robert “Doc” Bolinger, 83, of Kent, Iowa, passed away August 31, 2024 at Lenox Care Center in Lenox, Iowa. No public services are planned. Doc will be laid to rest in the Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Robert J. Bolinger was born May 29, 1941 to Rex Leroy Bolinger and Austie Pearl Spencer in Ringgold County, near Delphos, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Linda Kay Mickey on November 6, 1982. Together they welcomed 7 children. Doc was a proud father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Bolinger of Kent, Iowa; Daughters: Wannita Olson of Corning, Iowa, Edith Davis of Creston, Iowa, and Misty (Kevin) DeBoer of Creston, Iowa; Sons: Shane (Cindy) Bolinger of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Dustin Bolinger and Cody Bolinger of Kalispell, Montana; four brothers: Dean, Floyd, Ronald and Melvin Bolinger; five sisters: Vi Wahl, Margie Keener, Doris Bolinger, Dora Ray and Georgie Springer; twenty six grandchildren; seventy three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
“Doc” is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shirley Davis; Brothers: Junior and Clark Bolinger; and two great-granddaughters: Hayden Rose Bolinger and Brailee Armstrong.
