Robert P. Bollenbacher, 96, of Rockford, Ohio passed away Saturday February 8, 2025 at Tranquility of Rockford. He was born August 9, 1928 in Adams County, Indiana and was the son of the late Harold and Martha (White) Bollenbacher.
On December 18, 1948 Bob married the former Mildred Snider, who preceded him in death on August 8, 2019.
Bob lived his entire life in the Rockford area. He attended New Horizons Community Church. Bob was a former member of the Rockford Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #1292, the Grand Lake Snow Dreamers, and the Mercer County Sportsmans Club in Celina. He also took great pride in serving on the Rockford Tree Committee for many years. But mostly Bob enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are Bob's son, Jeff (Ginger) Bollenbacher of Rockford; daughter, Rebecca (Terry) McMillen of Rockford; seven grandchildren, Todd (Betsy) Bollenbacher, Betsy (Bryan) Schoenleben, Kelly Sipe, Heather (Jason) Rock, Brian Warthman, Kelcey Frye, Hayley (Karthon) McCullough; nineteen great grandchildren, Brittany Bollenbacher, Jordan (Mackenzie) Bollenbacher, Alec Schoenleben, Cole Schoenleben, Cade Schoenleben, Bryn Schoenleben, Jade (Rodrigo) Fierros, Aaron Kaehr, Mariell (Nick) Mueller, Maggie Warthman, Tony Rock, Charles Frye, Ashtyn Sipe, Mackenzie (Trace) Walls, James Meyers, Jerold Frye, Renee McCullough, Oaklynn McCullough, and Waylon McCullough; six great great grandchildren, Rhett Ahrns, Rynlee Ahrns, Rhys Ahrns, Collins Bollenbacher, Camila Fierros, and Lorenzo Fierros; and two sisters-in-law, Vickie Bollenbacher and Rita Snider.
In addition to his wife and parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Ron Bollenbacher; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Lowell Warthman; grandchildren, Amy Kaehr and C. B. Frye; four brothers, Tim Bollenbacher, Harold Bollenbacher, James Bollenbacher, and Randall Bollenbacher; and his faithful dog Lady.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, February 14, 2025 at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, 111 W. First Street, Rockford, OH 45882, with Pastor Ken Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 3750 US-33, Rockford, OH 45882.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Friday, February 14, 2025, at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, 111 W. First Street, Rockford, OH 45882.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rockford Fire Department, 201 South Main Street, Rockford, OH 45882.
