Robert Bou

January 28, 1956 – December 30, 2025

Robert Bou was born on January 28, 1956, in Manhattan, New York, to Jose and Eusabia Bou. He was the youngest of three children, lovingly known as the baby of the family. He grew up in the Bronx, New York, alongside his older sister Julia and his brother Jose, forming lifelong bonds rooted in family, loyalty, and love.

In 1977, Robert met the love of his life, Ida Thrower. The two married in 1980 and built a life together grounded in devotion and shared passions. They welcomed their first son, Christopher, on December 21, 1982. Their family grew again on January 20, 1988, with the birth of their twin sons, Taylor and Jordan.

Robert was a lifelong sports fan, especially passionate about basketball and baseball. He proudly rooted for his hometown teams, the New York Knicks and the New York Yankees, rarely missing a game. Beyond sports, Robert had a deep love for television and movies, a passion that brought him great joy throughout his life. One of his favorite memories was his first movie date with Ida-Richard Donner's Superman (1978). Fittingly, their final movie together in a theater was James Gunn's Superman (2025), a full-circle moment that reflected their enduring bond.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife Ida; his three sons, Christopher, Taylor, and Jordan; his cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Catalina, and Christopher; his sister Julia; and his nephew Antonio.

Robert Bou will be remembered for his love of family, his devotion as a husband and father, his enthusiasm for sports and movies, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
