Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nassau Funeral Home - Callahan on Jan. 7, 2026.
Cabrera - Eileen Cabrera, age 85 of Homosassa, Florida passed away on January 1, 2026. She was born in the Bronx, New York on October 18, 1940, to Joseph and Sarah Conway who preceded her in death along with siblings, Betty and Gil Polanco, Kay and Jack Whalen, Pat and Bill Black, John And Terri Conway, Barbara Conway, Ronald Cabrera, JoAnn Gavin, Darlene Mccoy, Manuel Cabrera, Jr., her husband, Edward Cabrera; son, James Holsombach; and granddaughter, Brittany Johnson. Eileen is survived by her children, Suzanne (Louis) Green, Helen Holsombach, and Edward Cabrera; grandchildren, April (Chris) Cabrera-Kelley, William (Peyton) Green, Allyssa Cabrera, Summer Wylie; great grandchildren, Landon Smith, Haylee Jones, Triston Johnson, Hayleigh Ramales, Ava Kelley, Cheyenne Green, and Anderson Green; siblings, Susie (Joe) Sacino, Ronnie (Jimmy) Lamatina, Vinny Conway, Agnes Tighe -Pepiceli, Keith Cabrera, Amber Cabrera, and Shira (Tom) Altier.

Eileen was "Little Nannie" to the many who loved her. Her table and home were always full with her family as well as the many people she cared for over the years. There was always room for one more in our family. Eileen was always there to listen and tell you stories that often made no sense and she was always willing to play the longest card game known to man. She was the most selfless person, always worrying about those she loved more. Eileen broke the mold when they made her. We will all miss our long-winded phone calls that always ended in "I love you more."

The tribute above was prepared by Eileen's loving family.

A Mass Service for Eileen will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church with Father Dung Bui officiating. Please join us in celebrating the life of our matriarch. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770.
