Robert Paul Bourdin, age 87, of Pass Christian, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the home in which he was born and raised.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Roberta “Bobbie” Bourdin, and his parents, Adolph and Lelia Courtenay Bourdin; his brothers, Adolph “Jr.”, Jean, and Leonard; his sisters, Elayne Rutz, Rose Marie Harvey, and Lelia “Tee” Blizzard.

He is survived by his children, Denise Wise, Paul (Sarah) Bourdin, Sonny (Gwen) Bourdin, and Kim (Gene) Nobles; his grandchildren, Gene Wise III, Michael (Crystal) Bourdin, Courtney (Justin) Huffman, Chris (Chelsea) Nobles, Jessica Nobles, and Jared Nobles; and his great- grandchildren, Sofia Isabella “Sofibella”, Dylan, Delaney, Addy, Brady, Skylar, Adrian, and Jaxon; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

After graduating high school from St. Stanislaus, Robert earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from USM. He joined the Marines in 1961, with his cousin and best friend, Marion Marquez, and proudly served in the Marine Reserves until 1968.

Robert worked alongside his father until taking over the family-owned heating and A/C business, Adolph Bourdin, Inc. He eventually passed the business down to 3 of his children. While an instructor at PRC in Poplarville, then later at MGCCC – Jeff Davis Campus, Robert’s students earned various state and national VICA competition honors.

After retiring from teaching, the fun began when Robert continued to learn and grow, earning an additional technical degree in landscape technology and greenhouse management. His favorite past-time became gardening. He loved selling his produce and honey at the farmer’s market. The camellia was his favorite flowering plant. He became a member of the MSGC Camellia Society, where he placed some of his prize blooms in their annual show.

Robert belonged to several professional and hobby organizations, including: • ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America) • Refrigeration Service Engineers Society • Harrison County Master Gardeners • Mississippi Gulf Coast Camellia Society • Pearl River County Beekeeping Association

A visitation for Robert will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 9:30 - 11 am, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd, Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request offerings be paid to Toys for Tots or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in honor of Robert's memory.
