Robert K. Bowman Jr, 79, received his wings June 15, 2025. Born on July 25, 1945 in Covington, VA, he made his home in Akron, OH. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; daughters, Cindy (Jim), Lisa (Kurt), Amy Beth (Joe), and Wendy; Paw Paw to 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Beloved brother to 8 siblings, uncle to many, his honorary grandchildren and many friends.
Bob served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Holland (AS-32) and proudly worked alongside the commander. After retiring from Akron Metro Bob and Judy moved to Florida then later to Belton, SC.
Bob's artistic talent produced many beautiful paintings. He also enjoyed golfing, traveling, and creating precious memories with family and many friends.
Visitation will be held MONDAY, June 23, 2025, 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. A funeral service with military honors will follow at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Akron Children's Hospital NICU, One Perkins Square, Akron, Ohio 44308 or the Akron Ronald McDonald House, 141 W State St, Akron, OH 44302.
