Robert Bragole Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lyons Funeral Home on Dec. 23, 2025.
Dr. Robert Bragole, 89, of Danvers, MA, passed away on December 21, 2025.

Born on October 17, 1936, in Somerville, MA, Dr. Bragole was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love for family and passion for learning left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He earned his doctorate in Chemistry from Yale University and dedicated his life to advancing knowledge in his field. Professionally, Dr. Bragole served as Director of R&D at Worthen Industries, Senior Engineer at The Haartz Corporation, and for 14 years worked as a consultant for DELA Inc. until his retirement in 2023.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, he was deeply involved in his community as a Little League baseball coach, inspiring young athletes and fostering a love for the game. He also enjoyed both playing and watching golf, spending countless hours on the golf course growing up as both a caddy and a player, and later as an avid fan of the sport. Dr. Bragole was also an avid Boston sports fan, cheering passionately for his hometown teams throughout his life.

Dr. Bragole is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jean Bragole; his children: Robert Bragole II and his wife Lisa, Lisa DeSimone and her husband David, Linda Francis, Michele Bragole and her partner Brian Davis, and John Bragole and his wife Robin; eight cherished grandchildren; and one beloved great-grandchild. His legacy of wisdom, kindness, and perseverance will live on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
