Robert Breiner Obituary
Born in Middleport, PA, in the heart of Pennsylvania coal country, Bob was the youngest of four children born to the late Roger William and Mary A. Breiner.
Bob graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Following his graduation, he married Jean Fedder, who he met while going to school in Philadelphia. Soon after, he was commissioned by the Army Corps of Engineers as a Lieutenant.
Following his military service he joined the B&O Railroad as an Engineer of Track, with a 30 year career in various marketing and planning roles in Baltimore.
Retiring in 1986, Bob embarked on a second career of service, serving as an AARP Medicare Counselor and an AARP Income Tax Advisor for many years.
Bob was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. He was active in his church, St. John's Lutheran, in Jacksonville, and was an active member of the Retired Administrators of the B&O Railroad, and the East Gate No. 216 Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his children, Robert W. Breiner, Jr. and his wife Lynn Breiner, June E. Breiner and her husband Anthony Serafis, and Nancy Breiner Sangiorgi; grandchildren, Melissa Breiner, Jeffrey Breiner, Eric Breiner, and Isabel Sangiorgi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean Elizabeth Breiner and his siblings, Roger A. Breiner, Marian Callaway, and Bernice Eckert.
Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26), on Tuesday, October 21st, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Bob will Lie-in-Repose at St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3911 Sweet Air Rd, Phoenix, MD 21131, on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 10 to 11 AM, at which time a Funeral Service will begin. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, may be made in his name to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. www.RuckFuneralHomes.com
