Willis and I had the privilege of getting to know Bob and Pat during their time in Tucson, AZ. We still remember the many meals and evenings we shared with them. Bob was a delight to be with -- always insightful, witty and charming. We dearly missed them both when they moved back to California. We are thankful for the blessing of having had him in our lives.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob as his occupational therapist for a couple months at the beginning of this year. I always looked forward to our sessions together as Bob has one of the kindest hearts I have ever come to know. He would light up when we played games together and was always determined to complete all of his exercises without any complaints. Seeing the love that him and Pat had for each other and the way that Pat advocated for him was beautiful to witness. I have told Pat that she has inspired me to become as committed of a partner as she has been for my future husband. I miss our biweekly sessions, however I know that Bob is at peace and he left an impact on this world with his kindness. Rest in peace, Bob.

Bob was one of those guys who didn't have a mean bone in his body. He was always upbeat even when he didn't feel like being so.

We were privileged to know Bob as our next-door neighbor. He was a gentle spirit with an always-present smile on his face. We have fond memories of attending fiftieth wedding anniversary celebrations of Bob and Pat. We will miss Bob.

Granddad always had a good-natured attitude and I never heard him to complain about anyone or anything. He provided a reassuring and comforting presence but could also lighten the mood with his quick wit!

My interaction with Bob and Pat began just a few years ago through their attendance at Torrance Memorial seminars. They were generous supporters, and we enjoyed shared meals and visits - and discovered we attended the same church! Bob's Parkinson's was already impacting his movement when I first met him, but he didn't let that stop him. He was determined to continue doing what he could. It's wonderful to see these beautiful family photos posted here to get a glimpse into the family and his younger self. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Dad always set a good example for us to follow. He was always supportive. He always felt close, even when we were miles apart. He is still a part of me, and always will be.

Bob was a smart and humorous person. He had a lot of talents. Our family enjoyed playing cards and solve math problems with Pat and Bob, after having Thanksgiving Dinner together. A lot of good memories. We will miss him.
He always had fun perspectives on the world and found humor in anything

Bob was always always genteel, soft spoken and had a smile on his face. Having known him for 30 years, I have never seen him lose temper. He liked to listen classic music and read jokes.
When I was considering a career change 30 years ago while living at Bob and Dorothy's house, I saw he read the ComputerWorld (a weekly magazine he subscribed) with zest every week. I started reading them after him, got interested and and started many discussions with him on computer and programming. Eventually, I got interested in the computer field as well and became a software engineer. Now 30 years later. I am still working in the computer related field.
I am very grateful to have a father-in-law like Bob.
You were always cheerful and loved a good pun. Love and miss you always, Granddad! Thank you for all the memories. <br />Love, Priscilla

Bob was one of the nicest, kindest, men anyone could wish to know. He was a great supportive husband to Dorothy Patricia, a loving father to his four children, Susan, Sharon, Karen, and David, and also a wonderful brother in law to us. What a privilege to have shared our life's journey with our brother-in-law, Bob...such a fine and honorable human being.
