Robert J. Brinker

Robert James "Jim" Brinker, 95, of Export, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025. He was born on Oct. 25, 1930, in Delmont, the son of the late Robert and Mary (Long) Brinker. Jim loved being on his tractor, farming, and taking care of the property, his hunting trips to Wyoming, riding his motorcycle in his early years, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Kontor; sisters, Margaret "Peg" McQuaide and Helen "Boots" Hill; and brothers, Milton Brinker and Donald Brinker. Jim will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 71 years, Alice (March) Brinker; daughter, Susan Brett; sons, Jim (Karen) Brinker and Rob Brinker; numerous in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was a proud grandfather to Chase (Jenn), Michael (Haley), Jason and Josh; and great-grandchildren, Maria, and Amelia, whom he loved dearly. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Dr., Delmont, (724-468-1177). A service for Jim will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by a burial at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
