Robert Jural Brister 76 of Flora Louisiana entered into eternal rest peacefully with his children, grandchildren, and loved ones by his side on, Sunday, September 7th, 2025.
Born February 14th, 1949 in Many Louisiana to Roy and Vida Stanley Brewster Robert was the youngest of seven siblings. After serving in the United States Army as a special forces sharpshooter Robert went on to marry his sweetie Joyce Renee Moss and they had and raised five children on the banks of Kisatchie Creek.
As an avid Hunter and fisherman and a jack of all trades, Robert lived his life for his wife of 42 years his children and his grandchildren and his family. He took pride and his children following in his footsteps and becoming avid hunters and fishermen themselves except for his daughters whom were very much so Daddy's girls as well as Jack's of all trades and even took more pride knowing that his grandchildren followed his footsteps.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Renee Brister, his son Robert Heath Brister, two granddaughters Isabella Kate Brian and Kelcie Paige Vercher as well as his mother and father and all six of his siblings.
Robert is survived by his four children, daughter Heather Renee Gallien and sons Christopher Tyler Hunter Cole and Brantley Kayne, son Derek Gerald Brister and daughters Kailey Lynn and great grandson Asher Allen Denton and Brooke Renee, son Joshua Adam Brister and sons Joshua Hayden and Langston Cade daughter Katelyn Brian and husband Charles Brian and son Jaxon Keith Brian.
A service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025 with Bro. Larry Talent officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Weaver Cemetery in Flora, LA. The family will receive friends from 8 am until service time on Saturday the 13th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Tyler Gallien, Hunter Gallien, Hayden Brister, Anthony Maley, Jason Broadway, and Charles Brian with honorary pallbearers being Travis Settle and Chris Gallien.
