Robert Broome Obituary

Robert Alton Broome, 61, of Butler, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born April 18, 1964, in Aiken, S.C., he was the son of the late Ellis and Dorothy Driggers Broome.
Robert was a man who lived for his job and loved his family deeply. He worked for many years as a sweeper repairman and salesman, affectionately known as "Sweeper Bob."
He had many hobbies outside of work, including target-shooting, boating and fishing, which he'd often do with his boys. He also rode motorcycles with his father-in-law, Bill Kessler. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Donna Kessler Broome; his children, Robert Broome, Mark (Lee) Broome, Thomas (Alycia) Broome, Zachary Broome, Lucas Broome, Donald Broome and Matthew Broome; his five grandchildren; his brothers, Andy (Alicia) Broome and Randy (Pam) Broome; his sister, Tonya Turner; and father-in-law, Bill Kessler.
