Robert Lewis Brown passed away on March 12, 2025, in Acworth, Georgia, at the age of 66. A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend, Robert brought joy to others through his unique talents for charming storytelling, listening with love, and sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. Born on February 26, 1959, in Macon, Georgia, Robert lived a life marked by faith, service, and dedication to his family and community.
An avid UGA fan, Robert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Transportation from The University of Georgia. This experience spearheaded a decades-long career in sales and management within the transportation industry across Georgia and Alabama. Known for building strong connections with everyone he met, Robert eventually transitioned into logistics, where his leadership and people skills allowed him to excel in navigating complex challenges and fostering collaboration.
A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Robert dedicated much of his life to serving others through ministry and outreach. He participated in multiple international mission trips to villages in the highlands of Peru teaching the scriptures and equipping others to do the same. His commitment to Christ extended into his local communities, where he served as both a Deacon and an Elder in the churches where he and his family invested their lives. Through Bible Study Fellowship, he mentored men and children, investing deeply in the next generation. Whether in formal service or casual fellowship with friends and family, Robert left everyone with a lasting impression of his compassionate heart and love of the Lord.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Beth) Reese Brown; his son, William Robert Brown; and his daughter, Anna Grace Brown. He is also survived by his sister, Carole Harrison (John); sister-in-law Susan Brown; and nieces and nephews, Kelly Harrison Teague (Ryan), John Harrison (Katy), Katie Brown Kirrilov (Alex), Carol Diaz (Paul), Teddy James, and John Clark James (Erin). He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil McArthur Brown and Helen Rogers Brown; brother, Jerry Cecil Brown; sister, Janet Brown James; and brother-in-law, Ronald Richard James.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 29, 2025, at Creekside Church at Burnt Hickory Park at 8650 Cartersville Highway
Dallas, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with the service following at 3:00 PM. A reception will take place afterward at the church. In honor of Robert's love for all things Georgia Bulldogs, attendees are invited to wear black and red or UGA attire. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Southern Baptist International Mission Board or Creekside Church. Benson Funeral Home in Dallas is handling arrangements.
Robert's unwavering faith and dedication to serving others left a lasting impact on those who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
