Robert J. "Rap" Brown, age 54, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, surrounded by his loving family. Rap was born on February 22, 1971, in Chisago City, Minnesota, the son of Robert and Geraldine (Carter) Brown.
A graduate of Chisago Lakes High School, Class of 1989, Rap went on to build a successful career in the sheet metal business, starting out alongside his father at B&N Sheet Metal. Over the years, Rap worked his way up through the company and was actively involved in quoting jobs and meeting with customers. His dedication to his work and his warm personality made him a beloved member of both his family and his community.
Outside of work, Rap lived life to the fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting pheasants and ducks with his group of hunting buddies. He found joy in snowmobiling and spent time at the shooting range. Rap was known for his fun-loving spirit and easygoing nature, and he had the remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. A true music lover, Rap was often seen wearing one of his signature black concert T-shirts, embodying his passion for rock music.
Rap's family and friends will remember him as a kind-hearted, approachable person who was always ready with a smile or a joke. He had a way of making everyone feel like a friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine, and his nephew, Matthew Brown.
