Bob was born, December 31, 1979, in La Grange, IL, to Robert and Nancy Terill Morgan Bryar. He was formerly the drummer for the band My Chemical Romance.
Survivors include, his mother Nancy Bryar of Darien, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of the United States and ASPCA.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

It's still hard to believe that Bob is gone. You look at the artists that you looked up to growing up as these immortal beings, and when they pass it's an indescribable feeling. I didn't know Bob personally, but I enjoyed hearing him drum on tracks and I thought he was a really cool dude. I can't imagine how hard it is for his family and friends to lose him.
I hope Bob is resting peacefully with many animals in the afterlife, and my condolences to his family and friends.

Robert was our neighbor for a few years and became our friend. He was the best neighbor we have ever had. He was kind, thoughtful, considerate and hilarious.

I think the best thing I can do for Bob is enjoy his legacy, he put his heart and soul into those notes, today I try to be more aware of the sound of his drums and I'm enjoying it more. It makes me nostalgic because I think I didn't value it enough before, sorry to Bob for that, if it helps. Every time I listen to MCR´s live album for Black Parade Bob´s drumming stands out to me. It´s outstanding there. Of course also on the studio recordings but especially live, that´s why I love it so much. Bob was a great drummer. I´ll be petting dogs in his memory today.

I saw you the first time in the video Welcome to the Black Parade. I couldn´t get over what a good drummer you were. I immediately bought Black Parade. My family and I enjoyed that album so much partly because of your drumming. My family and I saw you live at William and Mary college in Virginia. What a night that was. Bob was an amazing drummer and while I never met him, I can tell he meant a lot to the people who were close to him. It´s been bittersweet reading all of the lovely stories everyone has of him. I saw him in Walmart when I was 12 back in 2008. I was having an anxiety attack, I was wearing my MCR shirt, and he sat next to me and rubbed my back and told me I´d be alright. I´ll never forget that.

My mom was a huge MCR fan when I was a kid.. Coincidentally, my name´s also Robert, Bob for short, and I remember seeing this "other Bob" absolutely tearing it up on the drums in music videos. So I styled my hair like Bob Bryan, used pencils on cardboard boxes to match how he was playing on TV, and got upset whenever people would call me "Robert". I still have a lot of love for MCR, and Bob helped make it so special.
I hope he knew how many people were influenced by him, remember his iconic drumming, his art. Rest easy, Bob.
