Robert Wayne Buchert
May 28, 1965 – October 15, 2025
Robert Wayne Buchert, age 60, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Amy; his son, Sean, and daughter-in-law, Chelsea; and his daughter, Elise. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Kutschenreuter (née Naylor), his older sister, Anjl Rodee, and his twin sister, Rebecca Janny. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Buchert, and his brothers, Michael Kutschenreuter and Jeffery Buchert.
Rob earned his bachelor's degree in Communication and began his career as a videographer before becoming Vice President of Training for CKE. Though successful in the corporate world, he found himself longing to work with his hands and create tangible beauty. This led him to establish Delta Home Services, where he poured his creativity and craftsmanship into remodeling homes. His artistry and dedication live on in the spaces he transformed and in the pride of those who call them home.
A man of deep compassion, Rob had a special bond with animals. His pets were truly part of his family, each one fortunate to know his patience and loyalty. Through his volunteer work with Midwest Wheaten Rescue, Rob helped transport countless rescued dogs to their forever homes-each one sensing the kindness and trustworthiness that defined him. His beloved dog, Gracie, brought him immeasurable joy and faithfully awaited his return each day.
Rob cherished the natural world and sought to live simply and sustainably. He loved getting his hands in the soil, nurturing a garden that reflected his care and curiosity about nature. Harvesting fruits and vegetables from his own backyard filled him with pride and peace, connecting him to the earth he so respected.
Among his friends-whether in the homesteading community or on job sites-Rob was known for his integrity, humor, and tireless work ethic. He led not by words but by example, always ready to lend a hand and share a laugh. His high standards inspired those around him, and his presence was a steady source of encouragement and camaraderie.
But above all, Rob was devoted to his family. He was a husband, father, brother, and son whose love was steadfast and unconditional. No job, belief, or circumstance ever came before the people he loved. If you needed him, he was there-without hesitation. His family will carry forward the love, strength, and kindness he showed every day, using it to support one another and to extend his compassion to others.
