Bob passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born on November 28, 1940, in Kansas City, MO, the son of Theodor and Thelma Buhrle, (Sparwasser).
He graduated from Miami High School, MO, in the class of 1960 and went on to two years of collage for Drafting. Bob served his Country as a Marine, a member of Teamsters and retired from Wagner Truck Line in Kansas City MO.
He married Carol (Kirkpatrick), Retired Rev. Buhrle, after meeting and working at the old Research Hospital, in Dietary. On September 2, 1961 they were united in marriage. By April 4, 1963 they had the first of their wonderful children, Rev. Kelley Buhrle. April 19, 1966, they fulfilled their family with one more wonderful child, Keith Buhrle. Bob enjoyed taking his family on summer vacations and hunting with his son. After the empty nest Bob and Carol took many trips in the U.S. on their own.
Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church in Independence, MO. Scout leader of Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops 344, 803, and, 206, three times to Philmont Scout reservation in New Mexico.
Bob enjoyed woodworking, camping, canoeing, watching nature, taking care of the Church and his family.
Bob is survived by his wife Rev. Carol Buhrle, Daughter Rev. Kelley Buhrle, and Son Keith Buhrle. Sister Karen Watts, 1 Niece, 7 Nephews, and many Great and Great, Great Nieces and Nephews. Along with many sons, daughters, and grandchildren that adopted him as their own.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Thelma Buhrle, Brother, Lawrence Buhrle, Sister Sheila Brakey, and many of his beloved dogs.
A visitation will be held on January 8, 2021 10:00 AM, service 12:00. St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 603 N. Jennings Rd., Independence, MO
Contributions are suggested to St. Mark's United Methodists Church, no flowers please.
