Robert Burden, Sr., affectionately known as Bobby, age 93, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024 at Norwalk Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Albert Burden and Peggy Gray Burden. Bobby was the owner and operator of B & B Home Improvements for many years, providing services throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut. His memory will be cherished by two daughters; Glenda Thompson and Peggy Burden, three sons; Floyd Thompson, Gilbert Thompson and Terry Burden, his brother; Barney Burden and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sons; Robert Burden, Jr., Charlie Burden, Nathaniel Burden and Gary Thompson, four brothers; Albert Burden, Clifford Burden, Cleophus Burden and Alonzo Burden and his sister; Frazella Burden. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Bethel AME Church, 19 Academy St., Norwalk, CT., Rev. Dr. Richard Wesley Clarke, officiant. Interment will be private.
