Robert Burgroff Obituary
He was born on August 19, 1945 to the late Hartwell R. and Helen L. Bias Burgroff. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Price; and brothers: Larry and Chuck Burgroff.
Bob proudly served his country in the Vietnam Conflict with the US Marine Corp., where he was awarded a Purple Heart for his injuries. He was also a member of the Marine Corp League, Devil Dogs.
Robert was retired from the Local #625 Pipefitters Union, was a member of Putnam Lodge #139 Hurricane, Beni Kedem Shrine, as well as being active with the Nitro Car Club.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Lee Hollandsworth Burgroff; sons: Robert P. (Melissa) Burgroff of Winfield, WV and Richard N. Burgroff of Winfield, WV; sisters: Karen Norman and Dixie (Scott) Mitchell; brother, Steve (Linda) Burgroff; 4 grandchildren.
A service will be scheduled at a later date.
Chapman Funeral Home 3941 Teays Valley Road Hurricane, WV 25526 is honored to serve the family again.
