Robert Browning Carl

Robert Browning Carl, 88, of Wheeling, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born on July 10, 1933, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Joseph and Laura Bohlman Carl.
Bob was a retired mechanical contractor and a part time employee with Kepner Funeral Homes. He was a graduate of Wheeling High School and a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (now Grace Lutheran Church). He was a member of Wheeling Lodge #5 A.F. & A.M.; Scottish Rite Bodies; Osiris Temple of the Shrine, Wheeling; Royal Order of the Jesters, Court 13; Past President and Board of Directors of the OVCEC; served on Board of Directors of Project Best; member of West Virginia Contractors Licensing Board; member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 83; Past President WV Chapter PHCC; and Project Manager for Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Carl; and two sisters, Evelyn Frazier and Edna Carl.
Surviving is his loving wife of 65 years, Dolores Mae Hawkins Carl; three sons, David (Gail) Carl of Pittsburgh, PA, Michael (Elisha) Carl, and Douglas Carl (Sumner) both of Wheeling, WV; one daughter, Stephanie (Craig) Greene of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Rena Malson of Wheeling, WV; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-232-2732) on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from noon until time of service at 3 pm, with Bill Ridenhour officiating.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington, PA.
