Robert Sexton Carlson

Bobby was born in Duluth Minnesota on June 21st, 1946 to Carl Carlson and Mamie Kilgore. After graduating from Osborne High School in 1964, he joined the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. After completing two tours of duty in the Vietnam War, Bobby returned home to Atlanta where he married and continued in the family business of iron work. He later had one child, Jeff.
Bobby lived most of his adult life in the Marietta area, but enjoyed traveling the United States, making new friends, and stayed very connected to his military background. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories over a game of cards at his local Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and American Legion. He also enjoyed talking baseball and football to anyone that would listen.
Bobby passed peacefully of natural causes on July 3rd. He is survived by his sister Linda, son Jeff, four grandchildren, loving nieces, and seven half-sisters.
